During the month of February, 2020, the CNSA is focusing on Social Determinants of Health (Those conditions into which we are born, live, learn, pray, and play). For the week of Feb 3-9 our theme is Education. The resources provided are gathered from a variety of sources and challenge members to consider their privilege in being educated, to examine how social conditions help or hinder the education of children, youth, and adults, and to learn how education affects a person's health-seeking behaviours, coping mechanisms, economic means in life, and their overall health and wellness.

❝ Education helps people to move up the socioeconomic ladder and provides better access to other societal and economic resources. ❞ -Mikkonen & Raphael, 2010, p.15

We sent out various resources (including Tedx videos, infographics, research papers, posters, and think tanks) to your CNSA email, as well as sharing some resources, as possible, on Facebook and Twitter. As well, these resources will be added to the website under the Initiatives page. Following the webinar, the cloud link will also be added to the initiatives page, so that it can be viewed in the case that you were unable to view it live.
